This grant is now available for shorts and low budget independents as well as documentary filmmakers. We have expanded to further our goals of creating films that are "unique and make a contribution to society."
Just fill out the Application Form, print it out and send it along with your 2 to 6 page proposal, sample work if you have one on VHS or DVD and the

Two Page Project Proposal Submit a written proposal of your project. Communicate your ideas with as much detail as possible on a minimum of two pages. Include the following:
All proposals must be accompanied by a sample of applicant’s previously completed work on VHS cassette or DVD. If you do not have a prior work, submit one from anyone on your crew. Label the cassette and case with applicant’s name, project title and review segment cue point (from the start of the tape.) If you are submitting a work-in-progress, include a sample on a separate VHS cassette or DVD. Label the cassette as outlined above. Please do not send original tapes, send us copies because we do not return tapes unless you send us a self addressed stamped envelope to return them in.
