    Funding Workshop on DVD
This DVD was created during our conference at Chicago Filmmakers. We have over 12 hours for you on “The Art of Funding Your Film: Alternative Financing Concepts” taken from the book of the same name.

To purchase the DVD ONLY for $45.00 click here

To purchase both the DVD AND the BOOK for $59.00 click here

Here is a brief overview of the subjects we cover on the DVD.

    • Show me the Money! Where to look for grants and loans for films.
    • What are the most important ingredients for your pitch?
    • What funders want to know about your film.
    • Watch filmmakers pitch Carole and learn from her critiques.
    • Hear stories of how other filmmakers funded their films.
    • Learn three proven successful ideas for fund raising house parties.
    • Important tips for submission to granting organizations.
    • Ideas on how to connect with your grantors on a personal basis.
    • Learn the best way to write your proposal for individuals and grant.
    • Suggestions on where to look for investors.
    • Once you find investors you learn concepts on how to approach them.
    • Wooing donors before making the “ask”
    • Instructions for contacting local Corporations for donations.
    • How important it is to opening your mind to receive funding.
        ....And more!
Since most workshops cost around $20.00 per hour we have priced this DVD within reach of most filmmakers at $45.00 which is less than $5.00 per hour. With the DVD you have a permanent record and you can continue to use it as a reference as you move through the filmmaking process.

We followed the book and actually cover several important chapters. Plus we have two prior grant winners speaking on their experiences in the funding process. They tell you what worked for them and what didn’t.

Dave Simpson won our grant for his film “Halstead Street” which has Studs Turkel narrating. This film played on PBS to excellent reviews. David talks about winning the Mac Arthur grant and other ways he raised funds for “Halstead Street” and another film he made. The DVD contains a clip of David’s work so you can see the promo tape he used to fund his film.

The full 12 hours of information will give you hundreds of funding tips and many ideas on reducing your bottom line. The added CD with outlines for your distribution from Mark Bosco is wonderful to know where and how to move into the next phase.

Your DVD can be shipped within 48 hours and you will receive email confirmation.

    To Be A Sponsor

From the Heart Productions began in 1993 with Otto Nemenz, T & T Opticals, Alan Audio Works and many other donors who are still with us. These donors found our grants give them exposure to emerging filmmakers. These filmmakers greatly appreciate companies who donate their profits back and producers use our donor list as their beginning production list for services. They know from the web site, from Carole’s seminars and from her book “The Art of Funding Your Film: Alternative Financing Concepts” that donors to the Dean grants are donors with-a-heart and the best in the business.

If you would like to be a donor, please email Caroleedean@att.net for full information. You will find that your generosity will be returned ten fold.
